Farmland
Farmland is a block added by ExPetrum.
All crops added by ExPetrum can only be grown on farmland.
To obtain farmland a block of dirt or grass must either be right-clicked one time with any Hoe or right-clicked multiple times with a Shovel.
Farmland can't be trampled and drops a dirt block upon being broken.
Farmland has an internal level of moisture that is displayed as the farmland top getting darker as the moisture increases.
Different crops require a different level of moisture for optimal growth.
Moisture can be increased in two ways:
- Rain will set the moisture to 100% if it falls onto the farmland
- Watering cans will slowly raise moisture when used.
Farmland will slowly loose moisture over time by a following value(per tick):
- If block above is a generic plant 0.00002 moisture is lost
- Otherwise 0.00001 moisture is lost
Additionally farmland has a collection of nutrients in it:
- Nitrogen
- Potassium
- Phosphorus
- Calcium
- Sulphur
- Magnesium
- Micronutrients
Any crop growing on the farmland will consume some of specific nutrients to grow.
Farmland slowly replenishes it's nutrients by a following formula(each tick):
- If block above is a generic plant 0.0000139 of all nutrients is lost.
- Otherwise 0.00000139 nutrients is gained.
Since different crops consume different nutrients it is a good idea to cycle crops to different sets of farmland when they are grown to let the farmland replenish lost nutrients.
As farmland is made out of a dirt block it keeps the growth rate multiplier of that dirt block:
